The main objective of this research is to develop a Gym Management System that aims to streamline the operations and administrative tasks of fitness centers, particularly for small- to medium-scale gyms. In many local gym facilities, managing memberships, schedules, and payments manually often leads to disorganization, miscommunication, and inefficiencies in service delivery. Utilizing the knowledge and principles of software development, the researchers have designed and developed a web-based Gym Management System. This system offers a centralized platform that allows gym administrators to manage member profiles, monitor attendance, schedule classes, and process payments with ease. Key features include a login and registration page, dashboard for real-time tracking, class scheduling module, membership renewal system, and a reporting tool for administrative use. A Descriptive Method of research is employed, using survey questionnaires to collect feedback from gym owners, staff, and members within the local area to better understand their specific needs and challenges. The gathered data was used to tailor the system to be both user-friendly and functionally complete. The system is designed and evaluated using the Software Quality Characteristics under ISO 9126, focusing on the following aspects: Functionality, Reliability, Usability, and Efficiency. Portability and Maintainability were not the primary focus due to the limited deployment scope at this stage. The system aims to provide an organized, efficient, and accessible solution to gym management, reducing manual workload and improving overall client satisfaction. This research project stands as a foundation for future enhancements that may include mobile application support, biometric integration, and broader scalability for franchised fitness centers.
