This project focuses on the development of an interactive digital storytelling system that promotes children's literature written in Filipino vernacular languages. The system aims to support early literacy among Filipino children aged 4 to 6 by combining traditional storytelling with modern technology. Through the integration of multimedia elements such as voice narration, animations, interactive text, and mini-games, the platform enhances comprehension, engagement, and appreciation of local culture and language. Developed as a web-based platform, the system features a collection of short stories presented in various Filipino vernaculars. Each story is paired with Tagalog translations and supplemented with interactive features designed to assist learners in understanding vocabulary and context. Additional components, such as read-along functionality and comprehension activities, reinforce early reading skills and promote linguistic familiarity. The study applied a user-centered design approach, incorporating feedback from teachers, parents, and children through iterative usability testing. System evaluation followed the ISO 9126 Software Quality Model, assessing functionality, usability, efficiency, reliability, maintainability, and portability. Results indicate that the system meets core quality standards and significantly enhances reading interest and familiarity with regional languages among young users. By leveraging digital tools to preserve and promote local languages, the system serves as a model for culturally relevant, technology-based educational resources in the Philippines.
