Abstract

The research study addresses the challenges senior citizens face in utilizing digital tools to document and share life stories and cherished memories. While the internet offers significant opportunities for connection to other people, many adults find technology confusing and overwhelming due to small text, complicated interfaces, and a lack of senior citizen-friendly options. The study recommends the development of a comprehensive digital social platform tailored for senior citizens. The primary focus of the social platform is to support older people in using an easy and interesting way to highlight their life and what they enjoy. Through this, the researchers emphasize user-friendly design principles to ensure ease of navigation and interaction for individuals who have limited experience prior to technology. By creating a digital space that prioritizes accessibility, this study aims to overcome the digital barriers and let seniors actively participate in the online world, allowing them to preserve and share the important stories of their lives. The researchers utilized a survey instrument through the Likert scale method to evaluate user feedback on the digital platform. The assessment form included questions with numerical ratings ranging from 5 to 1, where 5 represented "Strongly Agree" and 1 represented "Strongly Disagree". The scale allowed the target audience to express the degree to which they agreed or disagreed with statements regarding the system's functionality, reliability, usability, and efficiency.
